After what has been a really busy summer for our team this year, we aren’t resting on our laurels once school starts back. There’s lots to look forward to….
Nature Play for pre-school children and their parents/carers restarts at the end of August with morning sessions running on a Monday and Friday.
We have Home Education groups for 4-7 and 8-12 year olds running on a regular basis.
Green Shoots will be running 2 weekday groups, 1 with Forresters High School and the other with Holyrood High School.
These fun, play-based sessions for young people aged 5-8 and 8-12 years return at the end of August. Always hugely popular it’s a good idea to book early to avoid disappointment.
The original and still the best, this weekend volunteering programme is perfect for young people aged 12-18 years also looking to complete sections of their Duke of Edinburgh Award. The first few sessions after the holidays are already full so best get booking!
Green Angels also starts back with a visit to the ever popular Dalkeith Country Park.
CPD Training
We are running CPD training for a variety of groups. For Sustrans we are leading a team building and getting to know session as well as learning environmental activities. Other CPD training is taking place for staff at Parson’s Green Primary School using stories with outdoor games and activities. This will give staff more confidence to take their class outside for outdoor learning. We are also running a foraging event for The Women’s Institute in September to share our knowledge of local foraging and outdoor cooking.
