After 10 years as Green Angels, our programme for girls and non-binary young folk aged 12-18 is now called Skylarks.

The new name was announced at our Winter Celebration.  It was chosen in consultation with current participants on the programme, they ranked the options after an open call for new name ideas to participants, staff, the board and Youth Panel.  Whilst the name Green Angels has served us well it was feeling dated, perpetuated the stereotype of girls as angelic and had religious undertones.

Skylarks will continue the wonderful work of Green Angels as an outdoor wellbeing programme that uses conservation work to connect young people to themselves, others and the world around them. participants can also do Skylarks sessions as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Skylarks sessions run on the last Saturday of the month during term times. 2023 dates are now published and available for booking here.
