We have had the pleasure for many years of welcoming international students to join us for a period and this year is no exception. From March, we welcome Viktorija from Lithuania who will join us for 6 months as a Project Support Volunteer. No doubt many of you will see her out and about with our core staff team and volunteer leaders and we are sure you will make her feel very welcome.
We asked Viktorija to share a little about herself:
Hello everyone! I’m Viktorija from Lithuania. I study Global Project and Change Management in the Netherlands, in a small seaside town called Middelburg. My studies focus on sustainability, social change, and project management. They’ve led me to some amazing experiences – next up, volunteering with The Green Team in Edinburgh!
Starting in March, I’ll be working with kids and volunteers to help young people connect with nature. I love hiking, being outdoors, and anything that brings people together. Board games, crafting, and good conversations are some of my favorites. Before my studies, I took a gap year where I travelled, worked, and joined Erasmus+ youth exchanges. Those were some of the most developmental experiences for me.
This will be my first time in Scotland, and I’m so excited to explore both the city and its beautiful landscapes. I can’t wait to get started and meet everyone!
