Andy Ruck Minutes Secretary

Wishing Andy well as he steps down as a trustee after 6 years of service

This year we say goodbye to Andy Ruck, a Green Team Trustee since 2015. Andy first joined us in March 2012, as a project volunteer supporting the delivery of our Green Shoots programme. He was a very familiar face in our office returning tired and satisfied after a day spent outside with a group of young people. Andy particularly loved being involved in our Green Shoots and Green Volunteers residentials, perhaps a legacy from when he headed up overseas expeditions.

While Andy was studying for his PhD he joined the Green Team Board and has given 6 years service, using his knowledge of expeditions and group safety to serve on the Health & Safety Sub-Committee. He has also supported the Green Team’s Youth Panel and been an excellent and efficient Minutes Secretary.

During the second lockdown Andy relocated to Sweden and is now working for a Swedish University doing post-doctoral research into engaging farmers in biodiversity-friendly farming techniques. We wish him luck in his new job and will miss him very much.

If you would be interested in joining the board as a new trustee, we are recruiting!
