Our womblers!
On Sunday, 18th September our wonderful group of womblers completed the 4 mile ‘Wee Wander’ through the streets and cycleways of Edinburgh as they took part in the Kiltwalk.
The amazing group of 11 fundraisers not only completed the route but collected an astounding 26 bags of rubbish on the way!
The group of all ages got lots of cheers and thanks from other kiltwalkers and the public.
As well as making a great environmental improvement to our streets and cycleways, the group has raised just over £1000 for The Green Team which will be topped up by 50% thanks to the generosity of The Hunter Foundation. The money raised will go towards our goal of purchasing an all-electric minibus to reduce our environmental impact.
A huge thank you to all our wombles and everyone who has donated to date. We’re a wee bit closer to getting that electric minibus.
