Safe fire lighting at Mini Explorers

As we begin a roadmap out of lockdown we are delighted to bring new outdoors sessions for pre-school children and children aged 5-8 years.

Our Nature Play sessions for pre-school children together with 1 parent or carer is a wonderful opportunity for young children to enjoy time outdoors with their carer but also to play with other children in nature. They will run at Saughtonhall Community Space outdoors with engaging activities including foraging, cooking, hammock time, mud pie making and lots more.

The sessions are running on both a Monday and Friday morning from the 5th March for a 4 week period to the end of March.

As well as our sessions for pre-school children we have also launched a Mini Green Explorers programme for young people aged 5-8 years due to the popularity of our Green Explorers programme for young people aged 8-12 years which has been running for some time now. The Mini Green Explorers sessions will run year-round on a monthly basis on Sundays. The first Mini Green Explorers is running on 14th March with a maximum of 10 children at each session. Our main Green Explorers programme is hugely popular and almost always fully booked so we would recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

All current covid guidelines and restrictions for organised groups will be followed strictly so numbers will be limited.

Children too old for these sessions? Then why not check out our other programmes – Green Volunteers for young people aged 12-18 or Green Angels for girls aged 12-18.
