***UPDATE*** A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our sponsored litter pick on Sunday at Hailes Quarry Park. Our youth panel, volunteers, Mandy, Margon and Penny from the staff team and some lovely Green Champions from BlackRock all took part. Friends of Hailes Quarry Park also joined us on the day.
We collected an enormous amount of litter (and a mattress). We’ve also raised £340 to date which will go towards a future purchase of a second e-bike to make our travels to sites more eco-friendly. Join The Green Team for a sponsored litter pick to mark World Clean Up Day.
We have chosen Hailes Quarry Park, Murrayburn to concentrate on. It’s a well used and lovely park but needs a bit of a clean up.
We are trying to raise £2,000 towards a new electric cargo bike and are setting £50 as an individual fundraising target. So as well as cleaning up the park you’ll be helping us to clean up the planet. Don’t worry if you don’t make your target as every little helps! We will also be looking for sponsorship from local businesses. So if you can spare a few hours on Sunday 22nd September 11-2pm we’d be delighted to have your support.
