The Green Team has a vacancy for a Trainee Outdoor Youth Worker funded through Race for Nature and the Government’s Kickstart scheme to tackle the longstanding lack of racial diversity in the environmental movement. The environmental sector is the second least racially diverse profession in the UK after farming and the Green Team is keen to support the involvement of young black people and young people of colour.
As a Trainee Youth Worker you will support delivery of Green Team programmes, working closely with Green Team staff, supporting young people attending the programmes and organising resources and equipment. There is a huge amount of skills development within this role and opportunities to take part in training and gain certificates in a variety of areas.
The position is for 25 hours a week for 6 months and pays the Living Wage (£9.50 an hour). If you are aged 14-24 and claiming Universal Credit your work coach can refer you to apply. To find out more about the position and for a full job description contact Penny
