Green Volunteers Programme 2010

Green Volunteers is a programme of residential weekends and one day projects for 14-25 year olds led by adult volunteers trained by the Green Team.

All Green Team weekend projects depart from New Parliament House (5-7 Regent Road, Edinburgh - map) at 9am on Saturday and return at 5pm on Sunday. Each weekend costs £25 per person, which includes transport, food and accommodation.

The one day projects are a way for you to help local communities to create environmental wonders in your area, and get a taste of the Green Team. It's a chance for you to gain some experience in conservation and more importantly to meet new people and have fun. All Green Team one day projects depart from New Parliament House (5-7 Regent Road, Edinburgh - map) at 9:30am, returning at 5pm or you can arrange to meet us at the site. Each day costs £10 per person, which includes transport, tea and biscuits.

If you are having difficulty meeting the cost of these projects then please get in touch with us, we still want you to come! With a Young Scot card you can qualify for reductions on the cost of our day and weekend projects. www.youngscot.org

We work at a range of countryside sites and wild places, some of which do not have toilets. We will always be able to go offsite to a local toilet but will encourage those who can to find a private spot in the bushes. Information about toilet availability is included in the programme.
