Green Schools

Green Schools is a new initiative from the Green Team to work directly with secondary schools carrying out conservation projects in school grounds or adjacent green spaces. Projects can form part of Healthy Living weeks, Outdoor Education programmes or suspended timetables. We offer activities that meet the priorities of the Curriculum for Excellence.

Report of a Green Schools project ...Tuesday 25th of May I & my school went on a trip with the Green Team at Vogrie Park. We did a game called through the rope hoop and it was very good fun. The leader was called Kate and her dog was called Tim Tam, she was barking mad. We started off by using loppers and saws to cut and saw bits of the tree down. Then every body made a bonfire, before lunch Gill fell over, Harry got stuck in the bushes and I got my foot stuck in the same pot hole that Gill fell over. After lunch we did orienteering I was in the running team and we came first to get back to the campfire to make chocolate bananas. Then we talked about what we hated and liked about their day there and then we went to the park and then we went back to school and then we all went home. THE END By Sappho Scott
